Proudly Established, Owned, and Operated by Morgan Worthington Hancock et al., who is a devout and successful Equestrian of over 20+ years.
Rivendale is a custom designed, newly constructed, and unparalleled Hunter/Jumper Equestrian Facility located in rural Dover, North Carolina. We pride ourselves on specializing in: boarding, training, lessons, horse showing, breeding, and promoting the best possible environment for the education of the forward riding system. The Rivendale Experience is made possible secondary to our passion to be able to enable you and/or your loved one(s) to obtain and enjoy your inner most equestrian; all the while, enjoying true relaxation in a safe environment, achieving your personal goals, and allowing us to share with you our unsurpassed love for the precious gift that is the equine legacy.
Rivendale’s owner, Morgan, is a Kinston native and life-long equestrian. She has multiple credible accomplishments some of which include: multiple End of the Year Hunter/Jumper Championships in NC/FL/SC divisions ranging from local schooling shows to ‘C’ rated shows and ‘A’ rated shows, multiple End of the Year Equitation Championships ranging up to 3’, and she competed in ANRC in 2009 where she placed 5th Nationally in the Written Phase on her personal horse Swashbuckler. She has trained under several well renown and well respected equestrian trainers during her lifetime. Her love for and talent in the sport, spanning over 24 years, is noticeable anywhere she travels. She prides herself on instilling her prior mentors’ motivation, work ethic, talent, technique, and respect into each aspect of her daily involvement with her own personal horses and clients'. Morgan is also a Board-Certified Physician Assistant in Emergency Medicine. She is also certified in ACLS, BLS, and PALS, and lives on the facility, allowing for 24/7 monitoring and care of Rivendale’s boarders, facility, and clients. In 2009, She also obtained her Bachelor's of Science in Biology specializing in Equine Science degree from one of the Nation’s most respected and sought after Equestrian Universities, St. Andrew’s University, where she successfully rode on their “ANRC”, “A”, “C”, and “IHSA” Equestrian teams.
Morgan’s goals early in life were to successfully pursue her equine passion to the fullest and to build her own equestrian facility. She accomplished this at 28 years old. Rivendale Equestrian, not only depicts her talent and motivation, but also offers an experience secondary to none. Given Morgan’s medical and equestrian knowledge, Rivendale, is able to offer a rare and unique experience to its clients. Morgan has also taken clinics with the famous Olympic Trainer, equine expert, and ANRC Judge/Course Designer/etc, Scott Evans, who complimented Morgan on her natural talent and ability to feel, connect, and be one with her horse “Swashbuckler” (which she still has), along with being able to get him to give her, out of his love for her, a willing and impressible “200% to you”. She has also trained throughout her lifetime with other notable local trainers.

All horses are required to have an up to date "Negative Coggins" before they are allowed on the property along with an up to date current North Carolina (and/or all country(s)/state(s) transitioning from) mandated vaccination record in hand and all other required similar type documentation. References may be required as well.
